A company has filed Form MR-2 for re-appointment of Managing Director. After receiving the Central Government's approval letter for appointment, is MR-1 required to be filed with Registrar of Companies.

Section 196- Appointment of managing director, whole-time director or manager.

yes, Form MR-1 is required to file in case of appointment of MD/ WTD/ CS/ CFO/ Manager. and in form MR-1 mentioned about tenure of KMP. so, at the time of reappointment, tenure also modified. so, in this sense, MR-1 is required to file with the Registrar within 60 days from the date of such re-appointment as per section 196 (4) of the Companies Act, 2013.
