This is a case of company registered under Sec 26 of CA 1913 (corresponding sec 25 of CA 1956 and sec 8 of CA 2013). The company wishes to hold its AGM/EGM at a place other than the registered office and outside the local limits of the city in which the registered office is situated. Proviso to Sec 96(2) states that the central govt may exempt any company from the provisions of sec 96(2) subject to such conditions as it may impose. In light of this should the company apply to the Central Govt?. What is the prescribed eform for this?

Section 96- Annual general meeting.
