Whether shares can be transferred in the name of HUF?

HUF is not juristic person for all purposes , although it is person for purpose of the Income Tax. HUF is represented by karta. there is no legal bar on HUF to invests its moneys and shares. Companies Act, 2013 and Companies Act , 1956 does not prohibit membership of HUF . In case of an HUF the shares can be registered in the name of Karta of HUF.
