Section 149 (1) (b) lays down that 15 directors are the maximum. What if earlier section 25 co had 25 as its max directors and had filled all 25, should it reduce to 15 as sub sec (20 of the section has given one year to comply. Therafter after passing Spl Resln and increasing it to 25 can the section 25 company ( now Section 8) proceed to obtain central govt approval and then appoint the director?

Section 149- Company to have Board of directors.

In case company already has more than 15 directors before the commencement of this Act then there is no to reduce the said number
