Has the new Companies Act /Rules prescribed any format of Appointment Letter for Independent Directors ?

no, however you need to make the draft containing, roles, duties, responsibilities, disclosures and other aspects like IPR, NDA etc, you need to specify the tenure in same which is crcucial
